Universities disappoint exchange students

Foreign students at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki say the EU'sErasmus programme leaves much to be desired

"EUROPE creates opportunities," reads the glossy brochure of the European Union's Erasmus programme, "and we've created a common university space for Europe."

The scheme enables European citizens in higher education to experience another culture by enrolling in a foreign university for five or ten months.
