Republic of Cyprus Condemns UDI

President Christofias: Turkey not working towards a federal solution

Nicosia.- (CNA) --- Students across the free areas of the Republic of Cyprus condemned the unilateral declaration of independence (UDI) of the puppet regime in the Turkish occupied areas of the island, on 15 November 1983. In demonstrations to deplore the 25th anniversary since the UDI by the Turkish Cypriots, held in central areas of all major towns, the students held banners and chanted slogans, demanding independence, liberty and democracy, and stressing that no one could prevent peace in Cyprus and that Cyprus belonged to its people.
