My Heritage

Θράκη or Thráki is a historical and geographic area in southeast Europe. Today the name Thrace designates a region spread over southern Bulgaria (Northern Thrace), northeastern Greece (Western Thrace), and European Turkey (Eastern Thrace). Thrace borders on three seas: the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea and the Sea of Marmara.

The historical boundaries of Thrace have varied. Ancient Thrace (i.e. the territory where ethnic Thracians lived) included present day Bulgaria, European Turkey, north-eastern Greece, parts of eastern Serbia, eastern FYROM and modern Romania. The Roman province of Thrace was somewhat smaller, having the same eastern maritime limits and being bounded on the north by the Balkan Mountains; the Roman province extended west only to the Mesta River.

In Greek mythology

Ancient Greek mythology provides them with a mythical ancestor, named Thrax, son of the war-god Ares, who was said to reside in Thrace. The Thracians appear in Homer's Iliad as Trojan allies, led by Acamas and Peiros. Later in the Iliad, another Thracian king makes an appearance, named Rhesus. Cisseus, father-in-law to the Trojan elder Antenor, is also given as a Thracian king. Homeric Thrace was vaguely defined, and stretched from the River Axios in the west to the Hellespont and Black Sea in the east. The Catalogue of Ships mentions three separate contingents from Thrace: Thracians led by Acamas and Peiros, from Aenus; Cicones led by Euphemus, from southern Thrace, near Ismarus; and from the city of Sestus, on the Thracian (northern) side of the Hellespont, which formed part of the contingent led by Asius. Greek mythology is replete with Thracian kings, including Diomedes, Tereus, Lycurgus, Phineus, Tegyrius, Eumolpus, Polymnestor, Poltys, and Oeagrus (father of Orpheus). In addition to the tribe that Homer calls Thracians, ancient Thrace was home to numerous other tribes, such as the Edones, Bisaltae, Cicones, and Bistones.

Modern History

In 1878, Northern Thrace was incorporated into the semi-autonomous Ottoman province of Eastern Rumelia, which united with Bulgaria in 1885. The rest of Thrace was divided between Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey at the beginning of the 20th century, following the Balkan Wars, World War I and the Greco-Turkish War. Today Thracian is a strong regional identity in Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey.

Eastern Thrace (Ανατολική Θράκη), is the part of the modern republic of Turkey that is geographically part of Europe. This area includes the historic centre of old Constantinople (Κωνσταντινούπολη), as well as such cities as Adrianopolis, (the historical capital of the Ottoman vilayet that comprised all Thrace).

Northern Thrace is located in southern Bulgaria, between the Sredna Gora mountains to the north and west; the Rhodopes, Sakar and Strandzha to the south; and the Black Sea to the east.

Free Thrace is a geographic and historical region of Greece, located between the Nestos and Evros rivers in the northeast of the country. Together with the regions of Macedonia and Epirus, it is often referred to informally as northern Greece. Thrace is divided into the three prefectures of Xanthi, Rodhopi and Evros, which together with the two Macedonian prefectures of Drama and Kavala form the Periphery of East Macedonia and Thrace. Furthermore, the prefectural authorities of Drama, Kavala and Xanthi have been combined into a single administrative unit in recent years, as have those of Rodhopi and Evros.

Enotitan Declaration

There comes a time in the course of human events, when it becomes necessary for the collective soul of a nation to do away with the corrupt powers that be, and assume for themselves the reins of political power, to end the oppression, enslavement, manipulation, and exploitation of ones own natural and historical homeland by foreign elements. So to construct a truly free state based on their own true cultural identity and right to self-preservation.

Ethniki Ellada- The Lands of Haimos, Magna Graecia, Cyprus and Anatolia, are the birthplace of the Hellenic people. These are the lands that shaped their cultural and political evolution throughout the centuries. It is here that they first obtain political unity and created such cultural wonders of national and universal significance that would give birth to Western Civilization.

With the Treaty of Constantinople in 1832, the creation of an Anglo-German controlled satellite state was formed under the disguise of a free Hellenic state with its hand picked capital in Athens. From this moment on, with the exception of several political figures, the Hellenic state has been nothing more then a prison for Hellenism, to control and maintain the status quo and prevent the collective will of Hellenism from recapturing its former glory.

It is in the spirit of freedom and justice that we, the soul of Hellenism, reject the Treaty of Lausanne, a treaty, which has become null and void by the violations of the very state, which forced its creation, the Neo-Ottoman State or Republic of Turkey, which stands as the continuation of the Ottoman Empire in its modern form. With these outrageous violations of international law, we call for the removal of this illegitimate treaty, which has served the Turkish state in its annihilation of Hellenism within Anatolia, and demand that the legitimate Treaty of Sevres replace the Treaty of Lausanne.

The catastrophe which befell the Hellenic people- the massacre of millions of Hellenes in Anatolia-was a clear demonstration of the brutality of the Turkish state towards the indigenous population of Anatolia. A policy of genocidal tendency, which continues inside the Neo-Ottoman Republic of Turkey today, against any individual Turkish or Christian, which offends the states dictatorial control over its population. We, the descendants of the survivors of the Kemalist Genocide in Anatolia, refuse to allow the current state of affairs to continue. It is the natural right of the Hellenic people to be masters of their own fate, like all other nations, in their own historical homeland.

We DECLARE that,
Ellada is not only Athens, and to allow our nation to focus itself on one region of Hellenism does a disservces to the nation.
We DECLARE that,
For a nation to truly stand on its own as a self-sufficient partner inside the International Community, we must have the ability to control our military destiny, with a self-sufficient homegrown military industry.
We DECLARE that,
Corporate manipulation of the masses must be prevented and resisted by all ethical means.
We DECLARE that,
The Hellenic nation has the right to control its economic destiny, away from the dictatorial control of Brussels, which wishes to prevent us from modernized our nation’s economy.
We DECLARE that,
The Economic will of the nation should outweigh the importance of Big Business’ pockets and foreign investors.
We DECLARE that,
The Environment must be protected and cherished; one should respect all the mountains and rivers of Ellada, because these wonders of nature are born of Ellada.
We DECLARE that,
The practice of Cultural Marxism, must be done away with for the good of our society, in accordance with the natural laws of the world
We DECLARE that,
All Races should have the equal right to choose their own destiny
We DECLARE that,
Opposite to the policies of the state of Israel and its Zionist regime, which is violating International Law and Human Rights in the Occupied Territories is not Anti-Semitic.

We DEMAND that,
All Occupied lands of Ethniki Ellada be liberated and united inside our borders based on our indigenous right to self-determination inside our historical homelands.
We DEMAND that,
The right for Hellenes to return to their ethnic homelands under occupation by the creation of Hellenic Settlements
We DEMAND that,
All Genocides committed against Hellenes, Armenians, Assyrians, Serbs and other Indo-Europeans by Kemalist, Communists, Zionists, and other Radical elements be recognized, commemorated and prevented. So that we may create Memorials, National Holidays, and educational programs to teach future generations of the hardships suffered in their name.
We DEMAND that,
The Elgin Marbles and all other Hellenic Artifacts be returned to their true homeland.
We DEMAND that,
The Theological School of Halki and Hagi Sofia be reopened in Turkey

WE APPEAL to the Hellenic people throughout the Diaspora to rally round this declaration in the great struggle for the realization of the age-old dream - the redemption of Ellada.

Illyrida: Should Greece Support it?

What is Illyrida?

Ilirida or Illyrida is unofficial region in the western part of FYROM, with a considerable number of Albanian populaton.

History

On March 24, 1990, in the village of Šipkovica near Tetovo, several ethnic Albanian political activists declared the political autonomy in the form of an autonomous state called Ilirida. The declaration had only symbolic meaning and the idea of an autonomous state of Ilirida is not officially accepted by the ethnic Albanian politicians in FYROM.

On August 13 2001 the leaders of the most relevant Slav parties signed the Ohrid Agreement, which ended the clashes between the regular Slav forces and the Albanian rebels from the National Liberation Army, which was, according to the National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT) of the United States (US), not an army but rather a loosely-organized terrorist group which calls for the unification of ethnic Albanian areas of the Western Balkans.[1]. With the Ohrid Agreement, the Slavic government pledged to improve the rights of the Albanian population, that makes up 25.3 percent of the population. Those rights include improvements of the status of the Albanian language, increasing the participation of ethnic Albanians in government institutions, police and army and a new model of decentralization. The leaders of the National Liberation Army agreed to give up any separatist demands, to fully recognise all Slavic institutions and disarm and hand over their weapons to a NATO force.

Borders

There are different views among FYROM Albanians about borders and size of the proposed state. Some of them claim that Ilirida should include municipalities with Albanian majority, others claim that it also should include municipalities with Slavic majority and large Albanian minority (this also include Skopje, the capital), while most extreme views claim that Ilirida should include 2/3 of FYROM.

Source wikipedia.org

My question too many is, should Greece support the creation of such a state or perhaps renaming all of FYROM this name? What stops us from siding with the Albanians in FYROM? I understand some of you may misunderstand me, and perhaps assume I am speaking about physically aiding the Albanians. This is not what I am proposing, I am simply suggesting politically, recognizing its right to exist.

Now let me make it perfectly clear that I do not support the ideology of Greater Albania, I remain loyal to my Serbian Brothers in saying that Kosovo is Serbia. I also remain loyal to Hellenism in my views for liberation for Northern Epirus. However, when it comes to my so called Orthodox Brothers in FYROM, why should I care what the Albanians do? The Albanians might be just be what Greece needs to force the Slavic Government of FYROM into accepting historical truth and ending the name dispute.

Who would we upset besides FYROM with such a move? No one, the United States would praise us, if the Serbs said anything, we can simply remind them that we support them on Kosovo, yet they do not support us on Macedonia and that would be the end of that, but let us not get ahead of ourselves. This is nothing more then a question, an idea, a far fetched proposal and nothing more.

The Alexandrian League

The idea of the Alexandrian League is one that I’ve tossed around in my head for some time now. It has been a combination of several world events and personal insights that have lead me to declare that such an organization should be created. For starters, it seems clear that the inevitable fall of the United States will occur within our life time, and hence Greece must expand its horizons and react out to forge new alliances for its future survival. The former regions of Alexander’s empire find themselves today, in uncontrollable ethnic conflict and violence, which just perhaps their common Hellenistic past may hold a possible road to peace. Finally, the most recent proposal of the Mediterranean Union by President Sarkozy of France only aids to possible creation of a new Union, which could be launched for the good of the Eastern Mediterranean. This is the greatest way to help re-spread Hellenism to the far reaches of the struggling regions of the former empire. Alexander had a dream once and we should do our best to honor his wishes, so that his vision may come true.

“All mortals from now on will live like one people, united, and peacefully working towards a common prosperity” – Oath of Alexander the Great 324 B.C.

Institutions and Aims of The Alexandrian League

The Alexandrian League would act as a way to promote regional cooperation, conflict resolution and peace in the region based on its common Hellenistic past. As President Sarkozy said about the original Mediterranean Union idea, the AL would also, ‘do the same thing, with the same goal and the same method’ as the European Union. The League would form a regular council under a rotating presidency, with membership being open to all nations of the former empire. The League would be based in a newly build Pella in Greece and would officially function under the Greek, Arabic, and Persian languages, while other institutions of the organization would be based out of Alexandria, Beirut, Tehran, Baghdad, and Kandahar.

The League would create an Alexandrian Investment Bank, modeled on that of the European Union’s. Alexandrian Olympic styled games, Military exercises and joint educational activities would be organized for member states to participate in. A rapid action conflict task force would be created, and the League and the European Union would work together and share some institutions, perhaps common judicial areas to fight corruption, terrorism, organized crime and people smuggling.

Where have all the Patriots gone?:Rethinking the Hellenic Nation and our National Issues, Part 1

The polls are in and it’s unanimous; our Nation’s leadership has failed us. Whether it is the elected officials at home or the leadership of our Diaspora and it’s useless advocacy groups, the previous generation of political leadership and ‘lobbyists’ have shown there true colors; as nothing more then a bunch of corrupt and self-centered phonies that have sold out Hellenism because of there own greed and inabilities to produce.

What has PASOK or New Democracy truly done when it comes to our National Issues? For once in Greek History, we can finally look past ideological lines and say confidently that neither the Left nor Right has done anything to secure our interests and honor in the international community. Now before you start holding fast to your party allegiances and start calling me a radical or better yet, saying ‘what does this Amerikaniki know’, riddle me this; When was the last time a Greek PM or government, for that matter, did anything productive to protect our National Rights in Northern Epirus or even help protect those Greeks still living there from Human rights abuses? Has our leaders brought us victory when it comes to protecting our Macedonian heritage from our Slavic enemies to the North? Have our brothers and sisters in Cyprus come any closer to returning to their homes and uniting there island? And I won’t even touch our problems with Turkish airspace and human rights violation against us and the remaining Greek minority. Needless to say neither side has brought us a breathe of fresh air and we Greeks continue to act like castrated dogs in the international scene. The shell shock of the Asia Minor catastrophe and the attempted coup in Cyprus must be brushed off, if we are to survive as an independent people.

As I’ve said this shame has not just fallen on our leadership at home, but it is also shared by those living abroad and the advocacy groups they claim to use in our national interest. Here in the United States groups such as Manatos and Manatos have embarrassed the image of Greek advocacy groups. Throwing fundraisers and supporting pro-Turkish politicians, such as Robert Wexler (D) of Florida’s 19th district, an outspoken friend of Turkey, who has even visited occupied Cyprus. Are these really the people we want lobbying for our national interests? People, who when I called to speak with them about such anti-Greek moves, were left dumbfounded and could only muster a nervous giggle as a responds, before claiming that they could produce pro-Greek comments by Representative Wexler, of which till this very day I continually wait to hear the magic words ‘You have mail’ from Manatos and Manatos. These family run Advocacy groups are nothing more then the American versions of the same corrupt political dynasties inside the motherland that keep Greece in shackles. It is long overdue that regular men and women wrestler the reins of power away from these monsters in order to protect and secure our continued national survival as Greeks. New stances and outlooks on our national issues need to be taken. We can not continue beating the same ineffective drum like a broken record if we are to survive. We must look outside the box and taken new fresh approaches to our problems in hopes of doing the unthinkable, winning.

Makedonia

For roughly 17 years since the dismantlement of the former Yugoslavia one of our most pressing national issues has been our attempts to prevent the rape and theft of our Macedonian heritage by Tito’s bastard creation of Bulgarian speaking pseudo-Macedonians. This long and up hill struggle has produced failure after failure for the Greek leadership since it foolishly backed down from its embargo of Vardaska in the early 90s.

For quiet some time this issue has been seen by many as a stalemate, with neither side willing to compromise from their hard-line stances. During which the Greek government foolishly relaxed its push and became comfortable with the status-quo, instead of continuing feverishly our cause until victory was achieved. Now the United States and its allies in Skopje have joined forces to force Greece to bow to the will of these revisionists. Our only pray falling on the government of Karamanlis to stand strong with his decision to veto NATO membership of Vardaska.

If we are to get the upper hand a secure a stronger position on the name dispute we must approach this issue from a radically new position. I for one, suggest a new foreign and domestic policy when dealing with Vardaska. Domestically, for years we have been fighting against the Skopjean claims of minority rights, which we have wisely stated can not be recognized. However, one possible change, in handling Skopje expansionists dreams in Macedonia, would be to first no longer identify them as Skopjean- rather identify them as Bulgarians and give them all the rights of other minorities- open Bulgarian schools and churches etc and allow the Bulgarian government not Skopje rights and claims to these individuals. Second, Skopje calls for the opening of Macedonian language schools should be answered positively. The Greek government should publicly support and fund the creation of several schools to teach the Macedonian dialect -that is the government should put together a team of linguistic and historians to piece back together the ancient Macedonian dialect of the Greek language to be taught today officially as Macedonian inside and outside Greece. When it comes to a new stance on foreign policy, the answer is very simple; we should take a page from the Serbian government over the issue of Kosovo. We should pull all our ambassadors from every embassy worldwide if the host nation recognizes Vardaska as Macedonia. For how can our government be taken serious, in side the Greek state, if we allow our ambassadors to stay in such countries?

So you want to call yourself an 'Aryan'

The very term has lost its acceptance in society since the Second World War, where the word ‘Aryan’ found itself synonyms with the ideology of the National Socialist German Worker’s Party and Adolf Hitler. Hitler adopted the term, Aryan, which before the War, was an accepted word in the Scientific world, linguistic studies, and society in general. Many people today forget the original meaning of the word ‘Aryan’ and instead continue to associate it with the Nordicist view of a pure blonde hair and blue eyed people, which is false. ‘Aryan’ today has become such a detested word that it is rarely used outside the White Nationalist Movement and National Socialist circles. However, it is important that we understand what an Aryan truly is, before we decide to discard such an important part of our history to the scrap yards of time.

One of the most important uses of the word originally was associated with what is now identified as the Indo-European language branch. Originally the two words were used interchangeable. Understanding this helps us truly understand who if anyone really is an ‘Aryan’. Seeing that the term was in the past used to describe the Indo-European language family, before the coming age of political correctness, it is safe to say that one of the criteria for being an Aryan is to speak an Indo-European language.

The second and most controversial use of the word comes in its scientific representation as a racial category. Many today shy away from this usage and the establishment likes to group any works that still use the terminology as ‘pseudo-science’ and ‘racist’. However, whether you believe the establishment or the ‘pseudo-scientists’ it is safe to say that racially speaking the word Aryan is synonyms with Caucasian and the Caucasoid branch of humanity.

So with just this quick basic look at what an ‘Aryan’ really is one can root out past misusages that relate to Nordicism ‘pure race’ hype. What we do find is that an Aryan is someone of Caucasian descent whose ancestors spoke, as do they, an indo-European language. These are the bare requirements of who is an Aryan. However, there still is one huge and offend overlooked criteria to deciding who truly is an Aryan or not. This comes from the very meaning of the words origin.

The word, ‘Aryan’, comes from the Sanskrit word ‘Aryas’, which means ‘Noble’, hence simply, an Aryan is a Noble person. This is where being an Aryan goes from black and white criteria, and enters the realm of philosophic debate. For what is Noble? Are you born Noble or is it something one becomes based on his or her own actions? It is common knowledge that nobility in old times was a birth right passed down from generation to generation by the ruling elite. However, does simply being Noble by birth constitute a person as being Noble hearted as well?

Can a person really call themselves an Aryan today if they are lacking the essence of nobility? Respect and Honour for all people, even those you view as your enemy. If such a term is ever to make resurgence in our mainstream vocabulary, we must make sure that all the criteria is used to establish who is and who isn’t a true Aryan.

Patriotic Hand Gestures

With the most recent events in the Republic of Vardaska (FYROM), we have noticed the creation of a new rallying call for our Bulgarian enemies to the north. This new rallying call is the ‘United Macedonia’ salute, which was coined recently in response to the ongoing Macedonian Name dispute between Vardaska and Greece. This new salute has been given plenty of publicity with the most recent riots in Vardaska, where extremists have attack the Greek Embassy and reporters, with no police indifference. These events and the creation of this new salute, has gotten me to wonder a little about these tactics to rally our enemies. Even the Turks have their own hand gesture, known as the Wolf Head, which is used by extremists that support the terrorist organization known as the Grey Wolves.

From my knowledge only our brothers in Serbia have developed there own hand gesture in response to our enemies extensive hatred. The Serbian three-finger salute, which consists of the thumb, index, and middle fingers extended out. A salute which is meant to represent Orthodoxy, associated with the Christian Trinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

It is because of this, that I suggest the creation or adoption of a hand gesture for our Hellenic brothers to rally behind. Of which I suggest either the adoption of the Serbian Three-finger salute, to show our comradely with the Serbian cause and nation or the creation of our own symbol, with the adoption of the Enotita Eagle salute, which is made with creation the Serbian Three Finger Salute with both hands and connecting them together by thumbs to create the appearance of a two headed eagle.

Makedonia: the Cradle of Hellenism

Urgent push to settle Fyrom name
Athens accepts UN mediator Matthew Nimetz's latest proposal as a basis fortalks, while sceptical Skopje backtracks on a possible referendum

By GEORGE GILSON

Some my call my thoughts radical, others may view what I am about to say, as a fresh breathe of air. Whatever you may think, I believe as Hellenes, we can all agree on one thing, and that is we must not allow our government and the international community to sell our Makedonian Heritage to these Bulgarians.

We true Makedonians, must do whatever is necessary, may it be working peacefully through the correct political channels or confrontational world wide protests and boycotts, to let the world know that we will not stand for our heritage and history being given to another people to help them stabilize there pseudo-Bulgar-Albanian state.

It is time that we Hellenes realize the reality of the situation, and that is that the United States and its Western Allies are no friends of Greece. Here we are, a NATO and EU nation, and do our NATO and EU allies side with us? NO! They ally themselves with this pseudo-state to the north. Wake up! Wake up Hellenes! You are only lying to yourselves if you think America cares about Greece or Greek people. It is up to us, as a people, not to the established political leadership to secure and save our Makedonian heritage.
